Welcome to Naturally Captive! We are South Africa's first and only Parrot Training Center.

Our work is focused on the behaviour, training, rehabilitation and free-flight of captive parrots. Our facility and free flight club is based in Pretoria and we operate internationally via online courses and video conferencing.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of captive birds and changing the way people think about parrot care.

Most parrots kept as pets today are intelligent, emotional, highly active animals living in environments that do not meet their physical or psychological needs. Many are clipped, isolated, under-stimulated, misunderstood, and often surrendered when owners become overwhelmed.

Our mission is simple:
